New Website, who dis? supersecretstudios.org

Hey All,

Thanks for stopping by the new website! I plan on using the blog function on this site to share some thoughts, and music that I’ve worked on here at Super Secret Studios in Portland, Oregon.

I started recording local bands and running live sound around 2009 in and around Los Angeles, and packed up to move 1000 miles north to southeast Portland in 2014. I landed on a popular couch on a porch to a house that was known as a great basement spot for local and touring experimental bands to play. I ran sound most of these shows, recorded a ton of music, and a lot of great memories and friendships grew from shows in that basement at Porch Couch!

In 2019 I moved my recording operation out of the basement to a new and improved space which would become Super Secret Studios.

The studio was originally built by the owners of the building for post production and voice over work for film and TV. The space was refreshingly well put together after years of recording in basements, venues, garages, and bakeries after hours. I was grateful that I had access to a professional studio space with central air for production! The studio consists of three main rooms; a  control room with a comfy couch, a reasonably sized live room with angled walls and ceilings that makes for great drum or live band room, and a dry booth that is big enough for drums, but cozy enough for vocals.

I’ve been recording and/or mixing and/or mastering music for bands and solo artists here at an affordable rate since then and would love for your project to come through next! The studio provides mixing and mastering, and is available to rent for recording with engineer included, rehearsal, or even a live in studio concert with limited capacity. It has been used to film music videos and live in studio video performances, and is really a blank canvas for whatever you might imagine a good use for it. Try me if you got a good idea!

The studio is located on top of a coffee shop, and has food carts right out in front of the building, and has proven a great project studio for recording and/or mixing and/or mastering for bands and solo artists like Super Secret Band, Jay Si Proof, Bodhi Mojo, Kid Coast, Lost Ox, New Dew, Band of Comerados, Megan Alder, Easy There Tiger, Future Faker, Basso Profondo, Mouthbreather, Frank Irwin Quintet, Salo Panto, Rainbow Electric, Grandpa McBrill the 3rd, Wren the Band, Eel Sallad, The Vedasay, Shane Farnell, Cameron Stenger, David Boston, Justin Eubanks, Benjamin Scot, Red Forman, Robokchoy, Elameen, To Bloom, Ryan McMahon, Dinosaur Dance Party, Dirty Princess, Mawlee Jones, Alex Toast, Zac Alden, Karen Moore, Animal Elders, Mom Demos, Brasscats, Yo Paulie, Echocheck, and more!

I’ll be sharing released music from some of them here over the next few weeks as I’m building the site up.

Thanks again for stoping by!
